I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

2 Timothy 4:7 KJV

Mr. Bernard Magee, better known as Brent, was born May 10, 1947, to the late Mr. Marshall and Ollie Dean Magee of Franklinton, LA, and his transition for glory on February 6, 2026.

Bernard graduated from Washington Parish High School in 1966. He was drafted and served in the US Army from 1967-1969 where he fought in the Vietnam War. During his deployment he was awarded the Bronze Star Metal for Bravery for his courage, strength, and determination

After returning from service, he rededicated his life to Christ where he served on the deacon board, the Men's Choir and trustee board. He worked for international Paper of Bogalusa Louisiana for more than 30 years.

Bernard was a huge LSU football and NFL fan. He loved hunting, fishing and farming in his garden. He was a hard worker, provider, and a man of faith who loved God, his family, friends and community.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 45 years, Brenda T. Magee of Franklinton, LA; four children, Lennell (Candice) Magee of Franklinton, LA, Cassander Magee of Franklinton, LA, Christopher James of Baton Rouge, LA, and Armand Barker of Franklinton, LA; four siblings, Alvin (Betty) Magee of Tucson, AZ, Annette (Curtis) Taylor of Franklinton, LA, Patricia Magee of Franklinton, LA, and Donice (Anderson) Briggs of Baton Rouge, LA; a sister-in-law, Robin Magee of White Plains, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
