Petar Atovski Obituary

Dearborn Heights - Petar Atovski, devoted husband, father, and Dedo, unforgettable member of the Macedonian community, and adored patriarch of his cherished family, entered eternal rest on February 7, 2026, at the age of 90.

A master cobbler by trade, Petar spent nearly his entire life working and giving. He built his business in his birthplace of Tearce, Tetovo. After spending time in France, he came to America and opened Lucky 7 Shoe Repair in Detroit.

Petar's life was anchored by the Macedonian Orthodox Church. He was a fixture at Sunday liturgy. He took deep pride in celebrating his Slava (Sv. Nikola) and lived for the gathering of his family and friends, where he was always at the head of the table and singing an old folk song with his legendary booming, tenor voice.

He is reunited with his beloved mother Gora and his father Bogoja. His legacy of hard work, devotion and boundless generosity remains with his beloved wife of 67 years Krstana, his children: Bore (Sandrika) and Blagica, his treasured grandchildren and great grandchildren: Kristen (Alex), Johnny, Stephine (Joe), Peter (Daniela), Nicholas (Allison), Joshua, Anastasia and Jozsef Petar.
