Janice (Howard) Conrick Obituary

Janice (Howard) Conrick, 87, passed away on January 18, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, laughter and unwavering positivity.

Janice was born on April 13, 1938, in Macks Creek, Missouri, to Muriel and Boss Howard. She later moved to Kansas City, where she met her husband, James Conrick. They were married in 1964 and shared 54 years together before James's passing in 2019.

Nothing meant more to Janice than her family. She is survived by her children Jeff (Nicole) and Jennifer; her grandchildren Cate and Teddy; her stepchildren Pam (Duane) and Tim, and step-grandchildren Rachel, Ali and Lauren, her brothers Jim and Jack; her brother-in-law, Bill (Melanie) and nephew Brian (Kristen). She was preceded in death by her sister Judy.

Janice was known for her joyful spirit, infectious optimism, and her love of cooking for others. Her kitchen was always welcoming, and she will be fondly remembered for her fried chicken, homemade jelly-especially her jalapeño pepper jelly-and her generous heart.

A service celebrating Janice's life will be held on March 24 at Resurrection Church, 8412 W. 95th Street. Visitation begins at 10:30 a.m., with services at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception. In her honor, attendees are encouraged to wear bright colors.

Janice will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
