BELLEVILLE, NY - Theresa Lynn “Teri” (Bovee) Brabant, 58, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Tupper Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she had been a resident since October 2025.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026 from 12-2 pm at Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2 pm with Pastor Mark Strader officiating. Burial will be held in the spring in Woodside Cemetery.
Teri was born in Watertown on October 4, 1967, the daughter of Franklin W. and Anna Mae (Pitkin) Bovee. She attended Belleville Henderson Central School where she lived in Germany for a time as part of the student exchange program. She graduated from BHCS in 1985 and went on to earn her AAS in Business Administration from Jefferson Community College in 1987. She worked for the NNY Cerebral Palsy Association from February of 1989, until it’s closing in March of 2019.
Teri always had a cup of coffee, even at bedtime as she curled up with a good book. She loved pink and found joy in collecting photographs and scrapbooking treasured moments with her family. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, cooking, music, dancing, hosting Pampered Chef parties, and attending her children’s sporting events.
Teri is survived by her children, Spencer and Zoe Stuckey; her brother and sister-in-law, Charlie Bovee and Kimberly Goldsmith; her nephew, Jaxon Goldsmith; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and coworkers.
She was predeceased by her mother, Anna Mae Bovee who passed in 2014, and her father, Franklin Bovee who passed only recently on January 15, 2026.
Her family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the Route 289 community for the compassion, care, help, and support shown during Teri’s time of need. They will always remember the guiding light this community provided during such a difficult time.
Alzheimer’s may have taken pieces of Teri’s memory, but it never took her love, her spirit, or the woman she was at her core. Her family lovingly remembers her for her contagious smile, the way she cared, the sacrifices she made, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply loved and missed, always.
Arrangements are with Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Inc. and condolences can be left online at www.carpenterstoodley.com.

Teri was the sweetest. Always a beautiful smile and a kind word. I am honored that I knew her for over 30 years and even had the pleasure of working with her daily for a few years. I looked forward to our morning coffees and just the small talk that friends share. I have many memories of Teri that I will always hold dear. My deepest sympathies to Spencer and Zoey. Anyone that knew Teri, knew that her children meant the entire world to her, she was an amazing Mother. Teri loved her parents and had such a special relationship with her Dad. I know that both of her parents are there with her now. Many thoughts with her children and brother at this time.

I remember Teri from her high school days. She was a warm, thoughtful, young lady with a wonderful disposition and demeanor. I remember her smile especially. It with sadness that I hear of her passing. However, I am sure, God, with a twinkle in his eyes, embraced her and welcomed her into her new home-heaven.

I had the privilege of working with Teri for 20 years! She was sooooo good to me during David’s seven year illness. She never hesitated to let me leave work, come in late or make up my time. I would not have been able to keep working and be a full time care giver if not for Teri’s compassion. She was a true a supportive friend, her whole life was her family, especially Spencer and Zoe. I can’t imagine Belleville without her. Hugs to you all
