Omar, rest easy now, brother. I'm remembering all the times we hung out, time we spent at the Ag Farm, and how you would sit for hours on a barrel practicing for your next bull ride, your infectious laugh and wittiness, you were a great guy and a good friend, and I was glad to have met you in the fourth grade, deffinatly one of the good ones, man, you will not be forgoten. Prayers for your family, until we meet again.

Rewrite Oscar was a remarkable person and an outstanding Marine. We fought in Fallujah, and my heart breaks for your family. The war changed all of us, but the bonds we forged while fighting for our lives and for our brothers in arms endure. There are no words that can ease this pain, but please know that we are holding you and your family in our thoughts.
My deepest sympathies

I graduated with Omar from Weslaco High School. We were part of FFA ( Future Farmers of America). He was funny, kind, respectful, and a great friend to all his classmates. I am so sorry for this world to have lost such a beautiful solo. May God be with him and with his family and friends. We will all remember him fondly. I will cherish the memories I have of him. Blessings.

Will always remember my first meeting with Omar, Cindy and the girls at camp Lejeune, NC. No power but nice cold beer after moving. Loved them all as family. God be with you at this time.

I served with Omar in our 2006 deployment to Iraq where he was my Company Executive Officer. What a great Marine and leader of men.. He lead with a quite confidence that inspired the troops as we say. I offer my deepest condolences for his family and children as I know he will be deeply missed.
