Lavern Jurgess Obituary

Lavern Melvin Jurgess 74 of Harbor Beach passed away on February 12, 2026 with his family by his side. Lavern was born December 18th, 1951 to the late Fred and Arlene Jurgess.

Lavern graduated from Harbor Beach high school in 1969. And

was a member of Our Savior Lutheran church where he previously served as congregational president.

He was a member of Thumb Two Cylinder Club from its inception. Lavern was a self-employed farmer; he enjoyed going to auction sales anywhere it took him. His collection consisted of toy and antique tractors and LP albums.

Lavern is survived by his two brothers; Milton Jurgess and Fred Jurgess.

Lavern is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Arlene Jurgess and his brother Brian Jurgess.

Funeral service for Lavern will be on Tuesday, February 17th 2026, at 11:00AM at Our Savior Lutheran Church of Bad Axe.

Visitation will be from 2:00PM to 8:00PM on Monday, February 16, 2026 at MacAlpine Funeral Home and at Our Savior Lutheran church on Tuesday from 10:00AM until time of service.

Memorials may be offered to our Savior Lutheran Church.
