Emmanuel Robert Aden returned to his Lord before his feet could touch this sweet Earth on November 7, 2025. He was born at 4:33pm at 21 inches long and 7 pounds exactly.
His mother, Emily, and his father, Grant had imagined him before they were even married. They felt the power of their love so deeply that they knew it would bubble over into someone else. Love created their first baby, Emmanuel, whom they called “Manny”. He was so wanted and so loved, and the three of them began to walk together.
Manny was there when his father graduated medical school and matched into his pediatric residency. He moved with Emily and Grant to Kansas City, where the three of them set up their first home. His mother left her job to stay at home with him, making everything ready for his arrival. Together, before he was born, the three of them were a family. They walked together through so many firsts.
Manny attended his first concerts with his parents. He went on his first flight with his mother. He loved voices, especially his father’s. He went to church and loved the sound of the organ.
And when he was born, he had already entered into his Father’s house. His name is Emmanuel, which means “God is with us,” and He was. Manny walked with us through his life and comforted us as he passed. He is deeply loved and missed by his parents, his grandparents Amy and Andrew Dickson and Shelly and Robert Aden, his aunt Arden Dickson, his uncle Philip Aden, and countless other adoring family members and friends.
