Barbara Adams Obituary

Barbara Ann Adams, 77, of Tyler, TX passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025. She was born in Fairfield, TX on December 26, 1947, to Chester Obie Anderson and Etta Fay Anderson. She was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.  

She attended Chapel Hill High School and although she would join the workforce from time to time, her true passion and devotion was always centered around her family.  The majority of her years was spent being a devoted wife, loving mother, and unyielding babysitter for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.   

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John Quincy Adams, siblings, Chester Anderson, Shelton Anderson, Linda Walker and grandchild, Cason Ray Adams.  

She is survived by her sister, Carolyn Davenport, daughter Katrina McClenny, and husband Jimmy, daughter Johnna McClain, son Waylon Adams, and wife Leigh Ann, grandchildren, Casey LaPeyre, and husband Jason, Brooke Casillas, and husband Rudy, Robert McClenny, Emily McClain, Jackson McClain, Brittan Adams, Brady Adams, and wife Lauren, Gage Adams and Haleigh Doxey, and husband Dawson.  Also, great grandchildren, Judson LaPeyre, Cole LaPeyre, Braxton Welch, Charlie Welch, Reina Casillas, Kiedis Moore, Teddy Doxey, Olivia Adams, and Penelope Doxey.  

Services will be held at Jackson’s Burks Walker-Tippit. Visitation will be Friday, April 25, 2025, from 6:00-7:30pm. Funeral will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Bascom Cemetery in Tyler, TX.
